 You will be given a Check-In time the afternoon before your scheduled surgical procedure. Please check in with the Surgery Patient Care Coordinator at that time.
If you have not previously been to Cimarron Healthcare Center, please bring your insurance card.

Surgery Center staff will lead you into the pre-op section of the Surgical Care Center. Here you will change into a gown and be prepared for surgery. During this time one family member can remain with you.
When you are moved into the operating room, your family will be asked to wait in the lobby. If the patient is a minor, a parent or guardian must remain on the premises.
After your procedure is completed, you will be taken to the post-op recovery area. At this time the surgeon will meet with your family in the Consultation Room.
 Step-Down Recovery Area
When you have sufficiently recovered from anesthesia, your family member/assistant will be asked to drive to the Surgery Center Exit Door to pick you up. You will be escorted to the car through the Surgery Center Exit Door located west of the main entrance.

 Plan to have a driver available to transport you home after your procedure. You will not be released to drive yourself home under any circumstances after anesthesia. Patient care is always our priority, even on your ride home!

If you are providing transportation for a child after surgery, please provide a child safety car seat.

Your home care instructions will be explained to you proir to your discharge from the Surgical Care Center. These instructions for post-surgery care will also be listed in your written discharge orders and explained to your family member/assistant.

Surgery Center staff will telephone you within 24 hours of your procedure to check on you. Included in your discharge instructions, you will be assigned a follow up appointment with your surgeon.
